At bloggum we try to keep customizations easy to apply. We noticed that there are a lot of users using bloggum blogs as a fotolog. Bloggum blog has 3 sections listing posts, photos and videos. By default main exposure given to blog posts. User visiting to blog homepage sees latest blog posts in main view, photos and videos in sidebars.

For those who want to use bloggum as fotolog (flog), or videolog (vlog) we added new setting in blog settings panel. By selecting fotolog or videolog, blog's homepage will display latest photo or video in main view. Blog will look like fotolog sites such as fotolog.com or metroflog.com.

To change your blog to fotolog or videolog goto "Settings" page for your blog and change "Post listing options". You can change this option any time to any value, it will effect only the way your blog displayed. You can change it back if you want to list latest posts on your homepage.

Also fotolog/videolog setting will remain valid even if you change blog template. It is completely independent of templates and will work with all default templates.

Other update to bloggum as most of you noticed is bookmark icons on top bar for all blogs. it gives easy access to bookmark any blog page to favorite bookmarking and social network websites. Which will bring more visitors to your blogs.

 

Facebook is popular place for friends and we at Bloggum thoght that is where you would like to share your blog posts. Facebook connect makes it possible to login and share your blog content  with your friends. To connect your accounts you can use facebook connect buttons on login page or settings page.

After you connect you accounts you can publish your new posts to Facebook. Which will be displayed on you profile pages' wall. Under every new blog post you will wee publish this on facebook tickbox. After post publshed to your blog facebook popup window will ask you confirmation for adding post to your profile. you can automate this process by sleecting tickbox at the bottom of that popup.

Connecting you bloggum account will automaticly log you in to bloggum if you are logged in to facebook. So you can use Facebook login to log in to both accounts.

Both Slideshare and scribd servces couldn't convert poverpoint 2007,2003,97 presentations correctly. Colors and content was distoreted. Only way of uploading good readible presentations is using PDF format. Clean and readible presentations as in original file.

By the way I like that slideshare provides guest account on where sribd require to create account to share any document. 

Hello world in english.. We started bloggum last year as a turkish blog service and saw a great demand for it in Turkey. Most of users found bloggum interesting and easy to use service. Which brought an idea of expanding it into enlish and some other popular languages. We had been working on translating it to other languages and rewrote system almost from scratch to make it possible. Which took some serious time but at the end we think here it is.

As in many beta services there might be sume bugs and spelling mistakes. If you find any while using bloggum service please let us know and we will fix it asap.
